-"Lost!" percorre la medesima strada attraversata da Fix You, servendosi di un organo dalle sfumature madrigalistiche. E' un pezzo che si avvicina alle musiche gospel per gli handclap e i cori simultanei. Parte dell'album è stato registrato in una chiesa, respirando a pieni polmoni l'etere mistica di navate, sguardi di santi marmorei e altare. (..) "I Coldplay hanno forse ritrovato la fede in Dio?". Chris Martin, rispondendo alla domanda, ha affermato candidamente che ha sempre ricercato una strada per comprendere la natura dell'Onnipotente, (...), per il leader dei Coldplay è una dolce parola da cantare, un'Entità che opera giustamente e si oppone alla depressione. Giocando un po', il frontman crede di essere l'unico al mondo a credere in Zeus: un'affermazione ovvia, se si considera la formazione classica del cantante (che avvicina l'individuo alla visione originaria del cattolicesimo, ovvero quello mitra precristiano) e la sua filosofia impregnata dell'odore di Grecia antica. Sicuramente il disco rivela qualcosa che può essere identificato con il Cristianesimo-.
